Eanes ISD Is Not Compliant with ADA!!

Schools within the Eanes Independent School District are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which is a 20 year old federal law. Instead of making ADA compliance a top priority, EISD is spending millions on football fields, cameras, batting cages etc.

ISD Superintendent Nola Wellman quote: "We are still working every single day to try and accomplish the ideal of a law that is very valuable to our nation.... There is only so much time in the day to get projects accomplished."

Well I guess we can see what "projects" are a top priority. EISD's priority is clear....athletic programs. They spent $3.4 million on football practice fields, $400,000 on a batting cage and $700,000 on HD cameras just to name a few examples. If ADA compliance was really a priority, the improvements for equal access for students with disabilities would have been completed by now.

Let's make people a priority instead of athletics. Please support EISD students with disabilities and tell Nola Wellman to make ADA compliance a priority.
